he garden performed admirably this year.  Beans, Cucumbers, Broccoli all taste great and plentiful.  Pumpkins are biggest ever.  Lots of Tomatoes, very sweet like last year.  One pumpkin made it all the way up to the deck 🙂

Here’s what’s going on in the backyard.  The dog is VERY interested.

Always a favorite around my pad.

Sweet memories of lazing in the back yard last summer.  In this freezing room, I remember it fondly.

I am exhausted – it’s hard work making pumpkin soup from scratch!  First you gotta choose your victim:

Then you gotta cut the big guy up and steal his seeds:

Then you gotta skin him and put him in a pan and cook him.

Then mash him up.

Don’t forget the onions and seasoning:

Mix it all together and boil.

Smooth it out in a blender:

Add your Brown Sugar, Milk and Heavy Cream – and Voila!

One more to go – not bad for a small garden!

These make great hot spicy medicinal soup – can’t wait – makes the cold weather bearable.
