Enchanted Glasses
A Novel in Songs
Steve Keith
In October 1957, a three-year-old boy is carried out into his backyard in Malden, Massachusetts, to watch Sputnik cross the sky. Sixty-eight years later, his granddaughter sets up his old telescope in a dark valley in the Berkshires.
Between those two nights is the life of Leo Marsh: engineer, songwriter, husband, father, grandfather, and a man who falls down and keeps getting back up.
Enchanted Glasses is a novel told through the twenty-six songs Leo writes along the way, and you can listen to every one of them as you read.
“The first thing Leo Marsh ever remembered was being lifted out of bed in the dark.”
